Parish Committees, Organizations and Societies include:
Councils and Committees
Parish Pastoral Council
- Assists the parish and its
pastor in ministry to the people of the
parish by providing leadership and direction formulating and
working toward parish goals and
objectives.
Assists in developing
a spiritual unity through enhancing participation in
the life of
the parish.
Building and Grounds Committee
- Provides material and labor
plans for extraordinary
maintenance projects.
Finance Council - Reviews financial reports,
provides a yearly diocesan budget and
implements stewardship drives.
Hospitality Committee
- Comprised of many parishioners
who volunteer to provide and
serve food for funeral
dinners.
Societies, Organizations
and Groups
St. Stephen's Rosary Society -
The primary aim of the Society is to praise and honor the
Blessed Virgin Mary and to secure her favors by the recitation of the rosary
and to obtain
the spiritual benefits gained by fulfilling the obligations which membership
entails.
Secular Franciscans
- A community of professed
Catholic men and women who feel called by
the Holy Spirit to
pattern their lives after Christ. They aim to keep the
Gospel as guide
that nourishes,
challenging and gives them direction as
followers of St. Francis and St.
Clare. They meet regularly to pray, to
learn about the Gospels, and to share their lives and
their world.
Knights of Columbus
- A Catholic fraternal service
organization.
Eucharistic Adoration
- Thursday evenings from 7 -8:15 pm
Parish Relations
- A group of non-denominational
volunteers doing acts of kindness for the
sick, elderly, disabled
and nursing home residents.
Life in the Spirit Prayer Group
- Gather weekly for an hour of
joyful prayer, praise,
Scripture readings, sharing
and petitions centered on the
Holy Spirit.
